Hello and Thank You for considering me for your therapy, counseling, and coaching needs.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Licensed Addiction counselor.  I have been practicing professionally for 12 years in residential treatment facilities, hospitals, private psychiatric offices, and in private practice.  I have extensive experience in both individual as well as group therapy settings.

In addition to general therapy I am specialized in substance use and dependence, behavioral addictions, and trauma.  I have 34 years of experience in the addiction and recovery world and I have been sober for 19 years.  I work with everyone from people who are questioning whether they have an issue, those who acknowledge they have an issue but are uncertain how to proceed, to people who have long term sobriety and have come to the realization they need further help with their challenges, and everyone in between.  I believe that co-occurring mental health challenges with those in recovery are best served by a therapist who can see their challenges through the lens of addiction and recovery.  I also work with the partners and loved ones of those who have substance use issues and have gotten caught in the co-dependency and enabling trap.

I believe in an organic approach that meets the client where they are at, focusing on strengths, and always respecting one’s right to determine how they want to proceed in their therapy experience.  I believe that those with substance use issues are good people with many strengths that are challenged by something that they did not choose to have.
